Privacy Policy

Last updated September 2026

Welcome to B1 Developers (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Your privacy is paramount to us, and this Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your personal information. Our commitment to data protection complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and other relevant regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for visitors from the European Union.

At B1 Developers, we strive to address these concerns by implementing transparent and secure data practices. By using our website and services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. Collection of Personal Information

Information You Provide

When you fill out contact forms, subscribe to newsletters, request information, or engage with our services, we may collect data such as your name, email address, phone number, and business details.

Automatic Data Collection

We may automatically gather information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited. This helps us analyse site performance and improve our user experience.

Third-Party Sources

We might obtain relevant information from publicly accessible sources or third parties to enhance our services or verify your details.

2. Use of Your Information

We use the information we collect for:

Service Delivery: To provide, maintain, and enhance our services.

Communication: To respond to your enquiries, send updates, or offer relevant products or services.

Marketing & Research: To customise your experience and conduct internal research.

Legal Compliance: To comply with legal obligations, cooperate with law enforcement, or enforce our legal rights.

3. Disclosure of Personal Information

Your information may be shared with:

Service Providers: Trusted partners (e.g., hosting providers, payment processors) who assist in delivering our services.

Legal & Regulatory Authorities: When required to comply with applicable laws, court orders, or government regulations.

Business Transfers: In the unlikely event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the relevant party, subject to confidentiality obligations.

4. Analytics & Advertising

We use analytics and advertising services provided by other companies on this website. What runs is decided by the cookie choices you make when you first visit, and you can change them at any time with the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page. Our Cookie Statement explains the categories.

Analytics

Where you allow analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics, provided by Google, to understand which pages are read, how visitors arrive, and which parts of the site are useful. Until you allow them, Google’s tag sets no cookies on your device and sends only limited signals that cannot be used to recognise you from one visit to the next.

Advertising

Where you allow marketing cookies, we use Google Ads (which includes YouTube), Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and LinkedIn, to measure how our advertising and posts perform and to show our advertising to people who have visited this website. The Meta and LinkedIn tags are not loaded at all unless you allow marketing cookies.

What these services receive

They receive technical information such as your IP address, your browser and device, the pages you view on this site, and events such as submitting a form or booking a call. We do not send them your name, email address, phone number, or the figures you enter into our calculators.

Where this information goes

Google, Meta and LinkedIn are global companies and may process this information outside Australia, including in the United States. Each handles it under its own privacy policy, published at policies.google.com/privacy, facebook.com/privacy/policy and linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Withdrawing consent

You can withdraw your consent at any time using the Cookie preferences link. Doing so stops these services loading and clears the cookies they have set through this website. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser at any time.

5. Software Licences and Registration

When you register

If you register for one of our software products, including the free edition of the B1 MCP Server, we collect:

  • your name and email address;
  • the company you work for, and your country;
  • your role;
  • the version and database of SAP Business One you use, and roughly how many people use it;
  • which SAP partner supports you, if you tell us.

We also record which version of the licence terms you accepted and when, and whether you agreed to receive marketing emails. Sign-in and email verification are provided by Clerk.

If you register with a work email address, we group your registration with others from the same email domain. That lets us see which organisations use our software, and how many people at each. Registrations from personal email services such as Gmail are kept on their own.

When our software checks its licence

Our licensed software contacts us when it is activated, and about once a day after that, to confirm its licence is still valid. Each time, it sends:

  • the licence key, and an identifier the software creates for that installation;
  • the computer’s name;
  • your SAP Business One installation and system numbers;
  • the names of the company databases it is connected to, and the Service Layer host name;
  • the software’s version.

We record when each installation was first and last seen, and each time it moves to a different SAP Business One system. We also record when you download our software.

Your Business One data is not part of this. The free edition of the B1 MCP Server reads from your Service Layer and passes what you ask about to Claude, through your own Claude account and under that service’s terms. None of it reaches B1 Developers.

How we use it

We use this information to:

  • issue and renew licences, and stop them where necessary;
  • make sure each licence is used as its terms allow;
  • help you when something goes wrong;
  • understand how our software is used;
  • contact you about the product you registered for.

We only send marketing emails if you tick the box that asks, and every one of them lets you stop.

Where it is kept, and for how long

Registration and licence records are held in the United States, in our database and with Clerk. We keep them for as long as the licence exists, and afterwards for as long as we need them for our records and legal obligations. Your IP address is used only to limit how often the licensing service can be called. It is kept in scrambled form, in counters that are deleted once they expire. If you ask us to delete your registration, your licence ends with it.

6. International Data Transfers

Where applicable, we may transfer your personal information to jurisdictions with different data protection laws. We employ contractual safeguards to ensure that your data remains protected in line with Australian standards and the GDPR.

7. Data Retention & Security

Retention: We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy and to comply with legal requirements.

Security Measures: We use industry-standard encryption (e.g., TLS/SSL) and internal compliance protocols to safeguard your data. Our systems are regularly tested and audited for vulnerabilities to ensure strong protection.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you reside, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To submit a request or lodge a complaint, please contact us via info@b1developers.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe, usually within 30 days.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our business, technology, or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when revisions were made. Continued use of our website signifies your acceptance of any changes.
