Free edition licence terms

1. Your licence

We grant you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Software on up to two computers, for your own use and for the internal business of the organisation you work for. The licence is personal to you: each person using the Software needs a licence of their own.

The licence has no end date. We may withdraw it, or end the free edition altogether, at any time, and the Software stops working when it next checks its licence.

2. What you may not do

• Share your licence key, or install the Software for someone else to use under your licence.
• Copy, distribute, sell, rent, sublicense or otherwise make the Software available to anyone else.
• Modify the Software, or work around its licence checks.
• Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, except to the extent the law allows despite this term.

3. What the Software sends us

To check its licence, the Software contacts us when it is first activated and about once a day after that. Each time it sends your licence key, an identifier it creates for the installation, the computer’s name, your SAP Business One installation number and company database, the Service Layer host name, and the Software’s version.

It does not send us your Business One data. The Software reads from your Service Layer and passes what you ask about to Claude through your own Claude account, under that service’s terms. None of it reaches B1 Developers.

We use what the Software sends, together with the details you gave when you registered, to operate your licence, to understand how the free edition is used, and to contact you about it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

4. Your SAP Business One

The free edition only reads. You are responsible for the Business One user you connect it with and for what that user is allowed to see, and for your use of Claude and of the answers it gives. Check anything that matters against Business One itself.

5. No warranty

The Software is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not promise that it will be free of errors or that it will work with every Business One system.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Software, including any indirect or consequential loss, loss of data or loss of profit. Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to resupplying the Software.

7. Support and changes

We help with the free edition by email when we can, with no response times promised. We may update the Software and these terms. When the terms change, we will ask you to accept the new version before you can register another licence, and continuing to use the Software means you accept them.

8. Trademarks

The B1 MCP Server is an independent product by B1 Developers and is not endorsed by or affiliated with SAP SE. SAP, SAP Business One and SAP HANA are trademarks of SAP SE. Claude is a trademark of Anthropic.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State or Territory in which B1 Developers is registered, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive authority to resolve any disputes arising under them.
